I still remember the first T shirt we printed in that tiny studio in Amsterdam. It was 2006. We called the project Universe on a T Shirt. It was just us, Efrat and Joris, with a small press, some ideas and big dreams. We printed feel good graphics on organic cotton and hoped that someone would like them enough to wear them. A few long nights and lots of test prints later, Almost Summer was born.

Today Almost Summer is a playful clothing label and a small concept store in the heart of Amsterdam. We still work the same way. We start with 100 percent organic cotton T shirts and sweaters. Soft on the skin, but with bright personality. Then we add our prints. Maybe you know the Do Nothing Club. Or our Chaos & Creativity designs. We like prints that make people smile or think for a second.

In the shops we do not only sell our own garments. We also look for pieces from other brands that feel like Almost Summer to us. Small labels that care about how things are made and that have their own spark. If we would not wear it ourselves or hang it in our own wardrobe, it does not go on the rack. The idea is simple. You can walk in, mix our designs with other favourites and build your own look without rules.

Scent is part of that world too. That is why we stock fragrances from NANANAA Perfumes, our olfactory soul mates.  You can pick a scent that feels like your mood that day, the same way you choose a T shirt.

Behind the scenes, we keep a close eye on how everything is made. Every item in the store meets strict Good Manufacturing Practices. For us it is not enough that something looks good in a photo. It also has to be made in a way that respects the people who sew, print and ship it, and the planet that gives us the cotton in the first place.

You can find Almost Summer at two spots in the Jordaan. Our main shop is at Nieuwe Leliestraat 6b in Amsterdam. Around the corner is our mini factory on Eerste Bloemdwarsstraat, where ideas, prints and garments come together. Of course you can also visit us online any time at almost summer dot com.

How does it feel inside the store? A bit like the name. Almost summer. Light, playful and relaxed. We design pieces that anyone can wear. There are no secret dress codes, no insider clubs. Just clothes that feel good and that you will reach for again and again.
